Año Bisiesto/ Leap Year

Normalmente hoy sería el primero de marzo, pero este año el mes de febrero decidió quedarse un día más, para darnos un día más de frío, un día más de su sol, un día más de su calendario y un día más para decir "¿Todavía es febrero?" (No soy la única...de veras)

Mi pregunta es: ¿Hay algo extraño en el aire por ser el 29 de febrero? ¿Hay un mensaje críptico del Universo que tenemos que encontrar? Y las personas que nacen este día, ¿solamente cumplen un año cada cuatro? Wow.

Ya sé lo que están pensando ustedes....¿qué tiene que ver los burros con el 29 de febrero? Ni idea tienen esos animales de la fecha ni qué día es ni nada del tiempo que inventamos nosotros los seres humanos. Bueno, precisamente por eso los burros nos pueden enseñar vivir en el momento y no pensar en cosas tontas como ¿por qué 29 días? ¿Por qué el año bisiesto?
¿Por qué todavía es febrero?

¿Qué pensarán los burros? (Si es que piensan). Uy, esta leña pesa mucho. Ojalá la gente compre mucha para que yo descanse de estar cargando esto por todo el p___ pueblo. En la mañana no me dieron suficiente comida y tengo hambre. Tengo sed también. Ya quiero regresar al monte para poder comer un poco de pasto y ver si está aquella burrita bonita que vi de reojo ayer. Tenía una cola muy linda. Ay, de mí.

(A lo mejor los burros no nos pueden enseñar mucho....perdón)

Leap Year

Normally, today would be the first of March, but this year the month of February decided to stay one more day, to give us one more day of cold, one more day of his sun, one more day on the calendar and one more day to say "Is it still February?" (I'm not the only one, really)

My question is: Is there something strange in the air because it's February 29th? Is there a cryptic message from the Universe that we have to find? And people who are born on this day, do they only have a birthday every four years? Wow.

I know what you're thinking....what do these burros have to do with February 29th? These animals don't have any idea of the date or day or any of the time stuff we humans invent. Well, it's precisely because of that these burros can show us how to live in the moment and not waste our time thinking about useless things like why 29 days in February? Why leap year? Why is it still February?

I wonder what these burros are thinking...that is, if they think. "Oh, this firewood is so heavy. I hope the people buy a lot of it so I can take a break from all the heavy lugging all over the stupid town. They didn't give me enough food this morning and I'm hungry. I'm thirsty too. I just want to go back up to the hill so I can eat some grass and see if that cute little donkey I saw yesterday out of the corner of my eye is there. She had the prettiest tail. Oh, woe is me.

(So maybe the burros don't have much to teach us....sorry)
